Positive Effects of Being Healthy
Posted on September 18, 2008
Some time ago I wrote a post about the different ways participants in the National Weight Control Registry lost weight and kept it off. This morning I found a table that shows the positive effects the weight loss had on the lives of the registry participants. Here are the key points:
95% reported improved quality of life.
92% reported improved levels of energy.
92% reported improved mobility.
91% reported improved general mood.
91% reported improved self-confidence.
These are added benefits besides the obvious health benefits. Losing weight and keeping it off had positive effects for almost all of the participants.
We can have the same positive effects in our lives if we get ourselves to live healthier.
