Study after study shows us that physical activity helps combat anxiety, depression, age related decline in cognition, concentration, etc...

With the leading edge of the boomers becoming seniors, maybe the health industry will start to move away from fitness programs designed to achieve a 'six-pack' and towards programs designed for overall health (mental and physical) and longevity.

DR's last blog post..<a href="http://healthhabits.wordpress.com/2008/10/20/supercharge-your-brain-on-a-low-carb-diet/" rel="nofollow">Supercharge Your Brain On A Low Carb Diet</a>

Good point... How MANY studies do we need to convince us?

Isn't it too bad that our brains get in the way of making sure we do the things that are good for our bodies, AND our brains?

So, exercise helps a growing mind learn more and better, and it helps an aging mind to stay sharp. Good motivation for us all to get moving a little more!
