Posted on October 1, 2008

Just in case you were wondering if obesity really is a growing problem in our country:

One word:  Lifestyle.

Why does this matter?

“Obesity raises concern because of its implications for the health of Americans.  Obesity increases the risk of many diseases and health conditions.”

These conditions/diseases include heart disease, some cancers, stroke, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, respiratory problems, dyslipidemia (high cholesterol levels), and others.
