Physical Activity Trends

The above graph shows the proportion of the US population that reported no leisure-time physical activity (from CDC Statistics here).  In 1989, it was about 31%.  In 2007, it dropped to 24%.  So according to this, more people are getting at least some leisure-time activity.  That’s good news. 

Now below are my physical activity levels for the last few days.  Yes, it’s a bit exaggerated, but this is how it has felt.  I’ve been battling some kind of weird cold/sickness thing that has kept me from my run, bike, and swim workouts.  Frustrating.

I miss the feeling of a hard swim or a good run.  I just gotta remember that the rest will do me good.  I can’t be sick when our baby comes!
