I like to spend my time exercising with quiet rather than music- but every so often its nice to bring my iPod along. A little bit of variety is really good!

Sounds like you had a lovely run (even if the weather IS still winterish... sighs)

I know, something to be able to record thoughts would be great during a run! It was really nice withough the music.

Way to leave the iPod at home! I rarely listen to music when running because I think it inhibits some of the best aspects of running, one of which is being able to think. Thinking while running seems to always put things into perspective. I like to run at the end of the day to go over the events and prepare myself for what I need to accomplish the next day. Every conflict seems more clear and obvious. Now I just wish I had something to record my thoughts while running.
