Kitchen Fun

Posted on January 14, 2010

I had some fun in the kitchen last night.  Decided to try something new for dinner and see if it would work out.  First, let me post a picture of my little kitchen helper:

And by helper, I mean she found a drawer she liked and took everything out and left it on the floor.  Oh well.

Anyway, I chopped up some chicken breast, then grilled it.  Added frozen spinach and other frozen vegetables (bag of mixed veggies).  Let it all cook together.  Put the veggie/chicken mixture in a bowl and added a little bit of cream cheese and feta cheese, salt, pepper, and thyme.  Then, I put that into a tortilla and folded it like a burrito and baked it in the oven for about 10-15 mins.  Here’s what it looked like:

My own version of a “hot pocket” I guess.  It was pretty good.  My wife always gets a little nervous when I start creating something, but this was a good one .  : )

Look, I’m clearly no expert chef, but I do like to get in the kitchen and create.  Give it a try, you never know what you might create (good or bad!).

“I don’t want to work, just want to bang on the floor all day!”
