Half Marathon Recap

This was the only pic we got.  We forgot the camera so this is from wife’s cell phone.  Can you tell I’m soaked from head to toe?  This was taken just before the finish.

I really enjoyed the half marathon this morning, even though we had snow, hail, and periods of intense rain.  The only dry mile was the first.

I gotta say, I have tons more respect (not that I didn’t already have it) for marathoners.  I can’t (*yet*) imagine going 13.1 miles more.  Soon though. : )

I really enjoyed this distance.  Will do more of these, and it’s tough to think about doing this distance after swimming and biking a bunch in a half-ironman.  Don’t even want to think about full Ironman yet!

Next on the event list is the olympic triathlon on June 19th.  I better hit the pool.

    Congrats on your first half! Fantastic time! Snow and hail? Okay, you win. We just had rain. Ha, ha! I know what you mean, I have no idea how I would go 13.1 miles more. It sounds like that is a goal of yours though. I'm planning to stop at the half. Even after watching my husbands marathon I still wasn't motivated to run one myself. I'll just be a cheerer for those! Best wishes for the tri!
