Diet vs Exercise

Posted on July 1, 2010

What’s better?  Which is more important?

I get tired of these questions.  Let me make it simple for you…

You need both.  Bottom line.

What you eat matters.  How much you eat matters.  Deal with it.

Regular, consistent exercise (all kinds!) is just as important.  Deal with it.

For better health (there’s more to health than just weight), you need to make changes to both.

You don’t have to pick just one.

Well said, Blake! I don't know why people even go there. I've seen it addressed as a percentage too, like 80-20 or whatever. Really, it's like a good relationship, put in 100% and you will be fine!

I can't believe there's even a debate about it. 200% agree with you, we need both. But I hate the word diet as it implies short term and that you have to eat something crazy to lose weight.

If people want to lose weight and stay healthy, it's quite simple. We need to be active and have proper and sustainable nutrition.
