Motivation to Change
Posted on July 13, 2010

“When the motivation to change comes from within, based on heartfelt desires, rather than via external sources, like a financial incentive or urging one’s spouse or parent, the likelihood of sustained success is dramatically improved.”
— Margaret Moore, ACSM’s Certified News, April-June 2010, Volume 20; Issue 2
The desire to change has to come from you. No one can force you to make changes to improve your health. Encouragement from loved ones, trainers, friends can certainly help, but if you don’t have the desire you won’t see the success you want, or it will only be short-lived.
