Rest

Posted on August 26, 2010

I’ve been unable to run for the last two weeks.  I had some pain on the outside of my left upper-leg near my hip during my last run and it stayed for a few days. Tried running again after a week of rest and the pain came back.

Now resting/stretching it more to see if I can get it to heal.  Frustrating, though.

Been biking a lot now but I miss my runs.

Bottom line:  Sometimes you just have to rest.

You might have been running too much that it caused you leg pains. Exercising is good because almost everybody says its healthy. However, overdoing it can’t be good anymore. Or perhaps something’s wrong with your leg. Anyway, you still need some good rest.

You might try using a foam roller to rub out the knots on that thigh/leg. If that’s what going on, rubbing it out will hurt a lot, but it should help clear things up pretty quickly.
