Your Responsibility

Posted on April 22, 2011

“Health is your responsibility. It is not the doctor’s job, the hospital’s job, your spouse’s job or the government’s job to keep you healthy — it’s up to you. We suffer from chronic diseases that are too often the result of poor habits. The choices you make today usually determine the health you have tomorrow.”

– Tedd Mitchell, M.D., president of Texas Tech Health Sciences Center

How’s that for a thought heading into the weekend? While poor health happens for many different reasons, I tend to agree with the doc: poor habits are a major contributor.

Make one better choice today. Follow it up with another better choice tomorrow. Your health DOES depend on it.
