About Me

I recently graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Fitness and Wellness Management. I’ve learned and studied exercise physiology, anatomy, advanced first aid/safety, sports nutrition, prevention of chronic diseases, exercise prescription, and fitness instruction.

I started this blog to promote healthy living and how simple lifestyle changes can help us live longer and healthier.  In my opinion, too many people die too early in life from diseases that can, in most cases, be preventable.

Heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, type 2 diabetes, stroke, and some forms of cancer can be prevented through simple lifestyle changes.  I hope to help you learn how.

My Passions: my wife, chronic disease prevention, finishing triathlons, shooting below 90 in golf, soccer, tennis, raquetball, nutrition, sweet potatoes, going fast, cooking, long bike rides, exercise physiology, and walking with my wife.

Disclaimer:  I’m not a doctor.  This site is desgined to give tips, motivation and resources for living a healthy lifestyle.  The ideas presented here are my thoughts and opinions on nutrition, health, and fitness based on what I have studied, learned, and applied.   Be smart when it comes to your health.  Talk to your doctor before starting an exercise and/or diet program.
